Taliban suicide bombing leaves 10 dead, 42 wounded in Kabul

A car bomb attack claimed by the Taliban left 10 civilians dead and 42 others wounded in PD9 of Kabul city, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) said.

The MoI Spokesperson Nasrat Rahimi said that the incident took place around 10:10 AM in Macroyan Awal neighborhood of Kabul.

Rahimi added that 12 vehicles that were passing the area were destroyed.

Hours after the explosion, the Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack.

The militant group’s spokesperson, Zabihullah Mujahid, claimed in a tweet that 12 foreign forces and eight NDS operatives were killed in the attack, adding that three vehicles belonging to foreign troops were also destroyed in the attack.

The attack comes while two days ago a Taliban car bomb attack hit the Green Village, in the same police district, killing 16 civilians and wounding 119 others.
