Taliban accused of killing former government employee in Kunduz

The Taliban has been accused of killing a former government employee in Kunduz province.

According to local sources, Ali Ahmad Qateh, who worked in department of transport in the province in the previous government, was detained and killed by the Taliban.

An acquaintance of Qateh in a social media post accused the Taliban of his murder on Sunday.

The Taliban’s spokesperson for Kunduz police rejected that the group had killed Qateh. He told KabulNow that Qateh’s body had been discovered in the Islam-Abad area of Aliabad district.

The Taliban has been widely accused of extrajudicial detention, torture and killings of people who worked for the previous government.
