Taliban detains two civilians in Panjshir 

According to sources in the northeastern province of Panjshir, the Taliban detained two civilians named Muhibullah and Khalis from the Hesse Awal district on Thursday.

The detainees are farmers, with no links of affiliation to armed anti-Taliban group’s operating in the province, a source said. 

The men were arrested after evening prayers at a mosque in Manjdar village of the province.

The Taliban has been accused of routinely detaining, torture and murder of civilians and members of the National Resistance Front (NRF) who has been fighting the group. 

According to sources, the Taliban has been bolstering its forces Panjshir in preparation for fighting the NRF as the weather gets warmer.
