Explosion at Taliban Intelligence Directorate in Samangan kills two and injures three

An explosion rocked the Taliban’s Intelligence Directorate in Aybak, the capital city of northern Samangan province, leaving two members of the Taliban intelligence killed and three others critically injured.

Local sources confirmed the casualties with KabulNow while saying the incident took place on Thursday (March 23). The Taliban are yet to comment on the matter.

The roads leading to the intelligence directorate remain blocked a day after the explosion, with the group taking strict security measures in the area. The cause of the explosion and those responsible remain unknown.
