Kabul Police rescued a child who was kidnapped

Operatives of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of Kabul Police rescued a nine-year-old child who had been kidnapped in Kabul, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) said on Friday, May 28.

Tariq Arian, the spokesperson for the MoI, said Soheil had been kidnapped five days ago from Khayr Khana neighborhood of Kabul.

The Kidnappers were demanding a 500,000 USD ransom.

Though the kidnappers have managed to escape, Aryan said they were identified and efforts are underway to arrest them.
