NRF claims killing and injuring 3 Taliban fighters in Badakhshan province

The National Resistance Front (NRF), an armed anti-Taliban group, has claimed to have killed two Taliban fighters and injured another in an attack in the Shuhada district of northeastern Badakhshan province.

NRF said in a tweet on Tuesday that the attack was carried out on Monday night at a Taliban base in the district’s Maghzarji area.

Three AK-47 rifles were also seized by NRF forces.

The NRF stated that one of its forces was killed during the attack.

The Taliban has not yet commented on the attacks.

Since the Taliban’s resurgence to power in August 2021, the NRF has been actively engaged in a guerrilla war against the Taliban in various provinces of northern and northeastern Afghanistan.

Last month, NRF claimed to have killed at least 10 Taliban fighters and wounded seven more in ParwanKapisaNuristan, and Baghlan provinces.
