The National Resistance Front (NRF), an armed anti-Taliban group, has claimed to have killed three Taliban fighters in an operation in the Hesa II district of northeastern Kapisa province on Friday.
In a tweet on Friday, NRF stated that the operation was carried out at around 2:00 am in the Pol Mirwais neighborhood of Kapisa province.
According to the NRF announcement, a rocket launcher was also used in this operation and four rockets hit the Taliban camp in the mentioned area.
The NRF added that it has not yet received the details of the casualties caused by the rocket attack. This front has not said anything about the casualties of its own forces.
The Taliban has not yet commented on the attacks.
In addition to this incident, the NRF claims that it has conducted operations in Kapisa, Nuristan, Laghman, and Nangarhar provinces over the last few days, resulting in the killing and wounding of several Taliban fighters.
Since the Taliban’s resurgence to power in August 2021, the NRF has been actively engaged in a guerrilla war against the Taliban in various provinces of northern and northeastern Afghanistan.
