A blast rocked Taloqan city, the capital of northeastern Takhar province, injuring at least two people.
Mobeen Safi, Taliban’s provincial spokesperson, said that the blast occurred on Tuesday at 4:20 pm in PD 2 area of the city.
An Improvised Explosive Device (IED) was placed in a civilian car, Safi said, adding that two people were injured.
An investigation is underway.
Safi did not provide further information.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
