AFF claims killing 5 Taliban members in Kabul

The anti-Taliban armed group, Afghanistan Freedom Front (AFF), has claimed that its operatives attacked a Taliban check post in Kabul city, killing five Taliban members and injuring two others.

The group said in a statement on X, formerly known as Twitter, that the attack took place on Friday at 8:20 pm when its forces targeted a Taliban check post in the PD 3 of the Pul-e-Surkh area.

None of its forces were harmed, the AFF said.

The Taliban has not commented.

On Tuesday, AFF claimed to have killed and injured four Taliban forces in a rocket attack on Faizabad Airport in northeastern Badakhshan province.

Afghanistan Freedom Front and the National Resistance Front (NRF) are the two main groups engaged in armed clashes with the Taliban since the group’s return to power in August 2021.
