AFF claims killing and injuring 4 Taliban members in Badakhshan province

The anti-Taliban armed group, Afghanistan Freedom Front (AFF), has claimed that its operatives attacked the entrance of Faizabad Airport in northeastern Badakhshan province, killing one Taliban member and injuring three others.

The group posted a short video on Twitter apparently showing a rocket attack followed by rounds of gunfire targeting the Faizabad Airport.

AFF stated that the attack took place on Tuesday at 9:40 pm (local time).

The Taliban has not commented.

Afghanistan Freedom Front and the National Resistance Front (NRF) are the two main groups engaged in armed clashes with the Taliban since the group’s return to power in August 2021.
