Sources in Kabul have confirmed to KabulNow that the Taliban detained a former member of the Afghan national army in the previous government in Kabul on Monday.
According to sources, Mohammad Islam, a native of Panjshir province, had been fired from his position in the Afghan army before the Taliban’s recapture of power.

Taliban security agents stormed Mohammad Islam’s house on Monday night, a source said.
Mr Islam’s neighbours have reported hearing screams from his house, and many took to their rooftops to witness his arrest.
The Taliban hasn’t commented.
