According to a source in Kabul, Parwiz Seyedkheli, a battalion commander, and Farid Seyedkheli , a brigade commander of the Afghan national army in the previous government, were arrested by the Taliban on Thursday after being shot and injured in the Khair Khana neighbourhood of the Afghan capital.
Both men had previously surrendered their weapons to the Taliban and returned to normal life, our source said, adding that Parwiz had been detained before and held in a prison in Nangarhar province for several weeks.
