Taliban torches a high school in Panjshir

Local sources have told KabulNow that the Taliban soldiers the Paryan district of Panshir have burned down a school they used as base over the past year.

The two storey high school, a source told KabulNow, was built by the US and NATO as part of their Provincial Reconstruction Team (PRT) project.

The Taliban captured Panjshir in September 2021, and have since turned 50 schools into bases for its forces.
