A middle-aged woman has been found dead today morning in Omid-e-Sabz Township, a neighborhood belonging to the 6th district of Kabul city. The woman has been apparently murdered, a source told Kabul Now.
The woman was apparently murdered as her dead body had ‘signs of being choked’, a resident of the township said.
According to a resident of Omid-e-Sabz Township, the Taliban removed the dead body of this woman from the area this morning, Thursday, November 03.
The dead woman has yet to be identified.
The Taliban security officials, however, have yet to comment regarding the incident.
Kabul city, particularly its west part, has witnessed several cases of women and girls found mysteriously dead ever since the Taliban took over the capital in August 2021.
On March 26, a young girl was found mysteriously dead in the same township.
Khalid Zadran, spokesman for the Taliban police in Kabul, had confirmed that the group’s police had found the girl dead and transferred her body to forensic medicines for post-mortal studies.
Three days later, on March 29, a source confirmed that unknown people had killed a woman inside her house in Jaghoriha Township, belonging to the 13th district in West Kabul. The source added that the woman was choked to death.
