A man has beheaded his son over the son’s opposition to the marriage of his father for a second time. The incident took place late on Sunday, October 16, in Dand district of the southern Kandahar province, a source confirmed to Kabul Now.
The man killed his son with a knife after they had words about his marriage and a short argument, the source said, asking not to be named.
According to the source, the man has been arrested by the Taliban after a failed attempt to escape his home village.
The local Taliban officials have said that his case will be handed over to their relevant courts. The man will be brought to justice in line with the law, they added.
This comes two weeks after a man beheaded his three baby sons with a knife in the same district of Kandahar. The man was reportedly suffering from mental illness and killed his children under the effects of this illness.
