A man has killed his wife in Taloqan, the capital of the northern Takhar province, a local official confirmed.
Khalil Asir, spokesman for Takhar police, said that the incident took place today morning, January 14, near Hafiz Bai public bathroom in Taloqan.
The victim was identified as Rubina, who was reported to get divorced from her husband.
Mr. Asir said efforts by police are underway to arrest the culprit.
Located in northeast of the country, Takhar is a relatively insecure province where domestic violence is on the rise.
