Taliban to Carry Out Public Execution in Khost on Tuesday

The Taliban governor’s office in Khost has announced that a public execution will be carried out tomorrow (Tuesday, December 2). According to Mostaghfer Gurbaz, spokesperson for the Taliban governor, the execution is scheduled for around 10:00 a.m. at the provincial stadium.

The spokesperson has called on local officials and residents of Khost to be present at the site, while instructing them not to bring weapons or phones equipped with cameras.

The individual facing execution was convicted by Taliban authorities in connection with what they described as a serious criminal incident in Alisher district of the province.

This will be the twelfth public execution conducted by the Taliban since their return to power. Previously, the group carried out eleven public executions in the provinces of Farah, Laghman, Ghazni, Jawzjan, Badghis, and Nimroz, each witnessed by large crowds.
