KABUL — The Taliban’s Ministry of Interior says that political analyst Salim Paigeer was attacked and injured at his home in Kabul.
Abdul Matin Qane, a spokesperson for the ministry, said the incident occurred on Thursday, October 9, and that Paigeer was taken to a hospital, where he remains under medical care.
According to Qane, two assailants were involved in the attack, one of whom has been arrested.
While the motive behind the attack is unclear, Qane described the assault as being motivated by a “personal dispute.”
