Explosion Hit Kabul, Casualties Feared

KABUL, AFGHANISTAN – Local sources reported that an explosion struck the capital Kabul on Monday afternoon.

One source told KabulNow that it was a suicide bombing that struck near the former Attorney General’s Office in Dar-ul Aman Road, located in Police District 6.

Casualties are feared. Photos obtained by KabulNow show several bodies lying on the road.

Taliban authorities have confirmed the blast.

Authorities did not provide further details but said an investigation is underway.

No group immediately claimed responsibility for the attack.
