Unknown gunmen kill two Taliban members in Takhar province

At least two Taliban members were killed in two separate attacks by unknown armed individuals in Takhar province, in the northeastern part of Afghanistan, local sources reported.

According to the local source, in the first incident, unknown gunmen shot and killed a Taliban member identified as Shir Agha in Rustaq district of the province on Thursday.

In another incident, which took place three days ago, unknown assailants killed a Taliban member who was working for the group’s security command in Khwaja Ghar district of Takhar province.

No individual or group has claimed responsibility for the attacks, and the Taliban has not yet commented on the incidents.

The anti-Taliban armed group known as the National Resistance Front (NRF) has an active presence in the province and carried out a mortal attack on the Taliban fighters in Farkhar district on Thursday.
