NRF claims killing 3 Taliban members in Badakhshan province

The National Resistance Front (NRF), an anti-Taliban armed group, has claimed that its forces carried out an attack on a Taliban base in northeastern Badakhshan province, killing three Taliban members.

The group said in a statement on X, formerly known as Twitter, that the attack took place on Sunday night in the Sina village of Jurm district.

Several weapons and ammunition were seized by NRF forces.

None of its forces were harmed, the NRF added.

The Taliban has not commented.

In recent weeks, the two main anti-Taliban armed groups, NRF and Afghanistan Freedom Front (AFF) have intensified their attacks against Taliban forces in the northern and northeastern provinces.

Last week, AFF claimed that its operatives killed or injured at least 15 Taliban forces in separate attacks in Badakhshan, Baghlan, and Kabul.
