AFF claims killing and injuring 6 Taliban members in Baghlan province

The anti-Taliban armed group, Afghanistan Freedom Front (AFF), has claimed that its forces carried out an attack against a Taliban garrison in northeastern Baghlan province, killing two Taliban members and injuring four others.

The group said in a statement on X, formerly known as Twitter, that the attack took place on Friday at 11:40 pm in the Pul-e-Madan area of Pul Khumri district.

None of its forces were harmed, the AFF said.

The Taliban has not commented.

In recent weeks, AFF has intensified its attacks against Taliban forces in the northern and northeastern provinces.

A few hours before the Baghlan attack, AFF claimed that its operatives attacked a Taliban check post in Kabul city, killing five Taliban members and injuring two others.

On Tuesday, AFF claimed to have killed and injured four Taliban forces in a rocket attack on Faizabad Airport in northeastern Badakhshan province

Afghanistan Freedom Front and the National Resistance Front (NRF) are the two main groups engaged in armed clashes with the Taliban since the group’s return to power in August 2021.
