Two people were killed and six others were injured in three separate traffic accidents in northeastern Badakhshan province on Wednesday.
The first accident occurred in the Raghistan district, when a Corolla-type car veered off the road, killing a woman and injuring four others, including two children and another woman.
The second accident happened in Tagab district on Wednesday afternoon, when a motorcycle rider collided with a girl, injuring both of them.
In the third accident, a Fortuner-type car collided with a motorcyclist, killing the motorcyclist.
Traffic accidents have increased in Afghanistan in recent months. Poor road conditions, driver carelessness, and non-compliance with traffic regulations are some of the main factors that contribute to traffic accidents in the country.
