Storm and floods claim ten lives, injure five in Nangarhar province

Local sources in Hesarak district of Nangarhar province say that storm and floods have killed ten people and injured five.

Razi Khan, a local elder, told KabulNow that heavy rainfalls and storms on Monday and Tuesday caused widespread damage in the area, including flooding and damage to property.

According to Rozi Khan, the floods swept away two vehicles district, resulting in the loss of ten lives. Five injured individuals, he said, were rescued by local residents.

Idris Safi, the Taliban’s head of disaster management in Nangarhar, put the death toll as two.

Nangarhar province has experienced severe floods in recent weeks, causing significant damage to people’s lives and livelihoods.
