Young man tortured to death in Takhar province

Taliban officials in the northeastern Takhar province’s Hazar Sumuch district have reported that a young man was found tortured to death.

The Taliban’s head of media in the province, Mobeen Safi, said that the victim, identified as Juma Khan, was tortured and stabbed to death on Sunday night by his aunt’s husband in the district’s Meskeen village, where he was a guest.

The motives behind the murder remains unknown.

The suspect has been arrested and an investigation is under way, the Taliban official said.
