Pakistan’ Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Hina Rabbani Khar, met the UN chief, António Guterres, in Doha on Tuesday, during which the Pakistani Foreign Ministry said she “affirmed” her country’s to work with the international community on Afghanistan.
The Pakistani Foreign Ministry spokesperson said in a tweet that Hina Rabbi Khar, who has been participating at the two-day meeting hosted by António Guterres to discuss the international community’a approach to Afghanistan, said that Pakistan was committed to “devise a credible & irreversible process of engagement with Afghanistan.”
“A process that is centered on addressing the urgent humanitarian needs of ordinary Afghans & creating sustainable economic opportunities for them,” the Pakistani Foreign Ministry spokesperson added.
António Guterres ended the meeting by criticising the Taliban for its abuses of human rights and demanded a unified action on tackling the humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan.
