Traffic collision with Taliban vehicle leaves one dead and nine injured in Takhar

One person has been killed and nine others have been injured in a traffic accident that occurred in northeastern Takhar province on Sunday.

Local sources told KabulNow that the incident occurred when a passenger car collided with a Taliban Ranger vehicle in the Yengi-Qala district.

The Spokesman of the Taliban security command in Takhar, Mubin Safi, confirmed the incident and said that the killed and injured are all the passengers of the civilian vehicle. However, he did not comment on the cause of the collision.

Traffic accidents in Afghanistan are commonly attributed to a range of factors, including driver carelessness, failure to follow traffic rules, and the poor condition and narrowness of roads.
