Taliban detains teenager in Panjshir

Taliban security forces in Panjshir have detained an 18 year old man from the Rukha district of Panjshir province.

The unemployed Mohammad Fayaz, according to local sources, was detained on Wednesday.

The Taliban have not yet disclosed the reason behind his arrest.

This comes just a day after another civilian, Shirin Mohammad, a shopkeeper from Mershtan village, was arrested by the Taliban and remains in custody.

The Taliban has routinely detained civilians in Panjshir province over the past year and a half, for alleged connections with the National Resistance Front (NRF), who has been fighting the group.
