Ten Taliban members have died after eating contaminated food in Nawa district of Helmand province.
A local source familiar with the incident told KabulNow that unknown individuals poisoned the food that Taliban members ate on Friday evening, and after their deaths, emptied the base of weapons and ammunition.
Taliban officials in the area have not commented.
Several Taliban members, including a district governor in Balkh province, have recently died under similar circumstances.
