Blast at a cultural centre in Mazar-i-Sharif leaves at least 3 dead and 10 wounded

An explosion at a cultural centre in the northern city of Mazar-i-Sharif on Saturday has killed at least 3 people and wounded 10. 

The blast occurred at Tebyan Cultural Centre where an event was reportedly being held to honour local journalists. 

Eyewitnesses said they had seen at least 3 unidentified bodies and 10 wounded people with some in critical conditions.

Taliban security forces, according to sources, have blocked entry to the area. And the nature of the explosion remains unclear.

In December 2017, a suicide attack on Tebyan gathering in Kabul killed at least 40 people.
