A young woman committed suicide by shooting herself dead in Ferozkoh, the capital city of the central Ghor province. The incident took place on Monday, October 24, a local source confirmed to Kabul Now.
The 25-year-old woman shot herself dead in Jartilak area of Ferozkoh, the sourced added.
Still, it is not clear why the young woman committed suicide.
Local Taliban officials have yet to comment regarding the incident.
Some provinces have witnessed a hike in cases of suicide and other deadly domestic violence in recent months. Poverty, unemployment, and traditional practices are said to be key driving factors behind such incidents.
