WFP: Life is Unbearable For Majority of Afghans

The World Food Program(WFP) has said that life is unbearable for the majority of Afghanistan, particularly for women and girls.

“Life is still unbearable for the majority of Afghans, especially women and girls in Afghanistan. The World Food Program has aided more than 10 million women through capital generation programs and provided livelihood assistance,” the WFP said in a tweet on October 26.

According to the previously published reports, widely disseminated in the western media, more than half of the population in Afghanistan is in need of food assistance due to the ongoing starvation.

Since the Taliban’s return to power, poverty and unemployment have significantly increased.

According to the report published by United Nations Development Program, 97 percent of the country’s population, live below the poverty line.
