IOM Creates 10,000 Jobs in Afghanistan

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) says it has created more than 10,000 jobs in Afghanistan with humanitarian aid.

According to this organization, those who secured the jobs are mainly refugees and women.

Women and girls play an essential and key role in the future and development of Afghanistan, the IOM has stated.

The organization added that they have supported more than 400 businesses as well.

After the Taliban’s return to power, poverty and unemployment have spread throughout the country.

Taliban, on the other hand, have also imposed restrictions on the employment of women and have banned women from working in majority of government offices.
