At least 11 civilians were killed and 41 wounded as the result of conflicts between security and defense forces and the Taliban in Kunduz city, a health official said.
Ehsanullah Fazli, head of public health department in Kunduz, said the bodies of the victims were transferred to hospitals on Saturday, August 07.
He said the civilian causality toll is expected to rise.
According to Fazli, sporadic fighting is underway between the militants and government forces in parts of the city where the roads are completely blocked.
Located in northeast of the country, Kunduz is an insecure province where the Taliban has intensified their attacks in parts of the province.
