Daughter of Afghan ambassador to Islamabad, who was kidnapped, is under treatment

Selsela Alikhel, daughter of Afghan ambassador to Islamabad, who was kidnapped by unknown individuals, is under treatment at a hospital in the Pakistani capital Islamabad.

A statement issued by the Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed deep concern over the safety of the family members of Afghan diplomats in Pakistan.

Selsela was on her way home when unknown individuals kidnapped her. The kidnappers released her after torturing, the statement which is issued today, July 17, said.      

The Ministry called on the Pakistani government to take necessary and immediate action to ensure full security of the Afghan Embassy, Consulate, and the immunity of the country’s diplomats and their families.
