The Taliban have shot to death a 25-year-old woman in a kangaroo court they held in Adraskan district of the western Herat province, a local official told Kabul Now.
Speaking on condition of anonymity, the local official said that the incident took place on Saturday, May 15, in Galatoot village located two kilometers away from Adraskan district’s center. Some local residents told Kabul Now that the woman was shot and killed on charges of having extramarital affairs.
The Taliban have not commented regarding the incident so far.
However, the militant group has a high record of convening such kangaroo courts and shooting executions in different parts of the country.
