Urozgan blast

Urozgan blast leaves one dead and three wounded

A magnetic bomb hit a vehicle in Tarinkot, the capital city of the southern Urozgan province, killing one person and wounding three others, a local official confirmed.

Ahmad Shah Sahel, the spokesperson for Urozgan governor, confirmed that the incident took place around 6:30 PM on Sunday, April 11, in the Sorkhchal area of Tarinkot city.

The blast targeted a vehicle belonging to the son of Haji Shamed, a tribal elder in Urozgan, and wounded him, the local official added.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.

Situated in southern Afghanistan, Urozgan is a volatile province where the Taliban militants control swaths of territories and often launch offensives against government forces.
