Border-crossing between Afghanistan and Iran closed for passengers amid fears of the Covid-19 outbreak, a local official said on Thursday, April 29.
Jilani Farhad, the spokesperson for Herat governor, said that border-crossing for passengers was closed but cross-border trade would remain open.
On Thursday, health authorities in Kabul said that Afghanistan was undergoing a “critical state” amid the third wave of the pandemic.
Herat was the first city that recorded the first case of Covid-19.
