Unknown armed men have assassinated a security force in PD7 of Kabul city earlier this morning, March 27, around 07:15 AM, Kabul police confirmed.
Ferdaws Faramarz, the spokesperson for Kabul Police Chief, told Kabul Now that a security man named Javid was shot dead in Qala-e-Ghaibi area of the PD7.
An investigation is underway, according to Faramarz.
No one has immediately claimed responsibility for the attack.
Afghanistan, particularly the capital Kabul, has seen a dramatic increase in targeted violence ever since the start of intra-Afghan talks with the Taliban in Doha.
Though most of the targeted killings go unclaimed and the Taliban deny involvement in targeted violence, the Afghan government blames the militant group for the recent wave of violence in the urban centers of the country.
