Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesperson for the Taliban, says that nine children and one woman were killed in an strike carried out by Pakistan in the Gurbuz district of Khost province.
He wrote on X this morning (Tuesday, November 25) that at around 12:00 midnight, Pakistani forces bombed the house of a civilian resident named Waliat Khan in the Mughalgai area of Gurbuz district.
According to Mujahid, five boys, four girls, and one woman were killed, and their house was destroyed.
Mujahid added that the Pakistani military conducted additional airstrike in Paktika and Kunar provinces as well, injuring four civilians.
Pakistani officials have so far not commented on the attack, while Taliban warned they will deliver a “timely” retaliatory response after Pakistani forces carried out overnight airstrikes in three provinces, an assault Taliban condemned as a “violation and a crime” that will only deepen the crisis between the two sides.
This is the latest Pakistani strike on Afghan territory following the breakdown of negotiations between the Taliban and Pakistan.
The Pakistani military has repeatedly carried out attacks inside Afghanistan, even in Kabul, claiming that their targets are members of the Pakistani Taliban (TTP).
