The National Resistance Front (NRF), an anti-Taliban armed group, has claimed that its operatives attacked a Taliban vehicle in the Taloqan capital of northeastern Takhar province, killing two Taliban forces and injuring two others.
The group said in a statement on X, formerly known as Twitter, that the attack took place on Tuesday at 4 pm.
None of its forces were harmed, the NRF added.
The Taliban has not commented.
NRF has intensified its attacks against Taliban forces in the northern and northeastern provinces.
In the last two weeks, the group claimed to have killed or injured at least 12 Taliban members in separate attacks in Badakhshan, Takhar, and Kabul.
