The anti-Taliban armed group, Afghanistan Freedom Front (AFF), has claimed that its forces attacked a Taliban base in Bagram district of eastern Parwan province on Friday night, killing 5 Taliban members and injuring 3 others.
The group said in a post on the X, formerly Twitter, that the attack took place Sar-e-Joi village of Bagram district.
The AFF said that it used light and heavy weapons in the attack.
The group has also claimed to have ambushed Taliban forces in the intersection area near Bagram airport in Parwan, but there is no accurate report of the casualties.
The Taliban has not yet commented on the attacks.
The AFF has intensified its attacks against Taliban forces in a number of provinces in recent weeks.
On Thursday, the AFF claimed that its forces killed and injured 10 Taliban members in Kabul city. On Tuesday, the group claimed the killing and injuring of 8 Taliban members in an attack in the Du Saraka area of Parwan province.
The AFF and the National Resistance Front (NRF) are the two main groups engaged in armed clashes with the Taliban since the group’s return to power in August 2021.
