Local sources have said that the body of a man was found beheaded in a village in Shaikh Ali district of eastern Parwan province.
The man, identified as 60-year-old Mirza Hussain, was executed by unknown assailants when he was grazing his cattle on Sunday morning, the sources added.
The motive behind the killing is unclear.
Taliban authorities in Parwan have not commented.
Violent crimes and murder, often attributed to “mysterious killing”, have increased since the Taliban takeover two years ago.
