Two separate traffic accidents in the northern Baghlan province left at least two children dead, local officials said.
According to Sher Ahmad Burhani, Taliban’s security spokesperson in the province, the first accident occurred in Pul-e-Khumri district when a motorcyclist run over and killed a child.
Burhani further added that another accident happened on Sunday around 10:00 pm when a Toyota Corolla, heading from Kabul to Kunduz, lost control, overturned, and plunged into a river in Dushi district’s Sang Surakh area, located in the central part of the province.
At least one child was killed and another injured in this accident.
On Saturday night, a traffic accident in Baghlan’s Ali Negar district injured four Taliban members when their Toyota Hilux crashed with another vehicle.
