Afghanistan Freedom Front claims killing two Taliban members in Kabul

Anti-Taliban group, the Afghanistan Freedom Front (AFF), has claimed that its operatives attacked a checkpoint in Kabul city on Sunday night, killing two Taliban members and injuring one.

The group posted a video on social media apparently showing an explosion targeting a checkpoint in the PD11 area of the capital.

Afghanistan Freedom Front and the National Resistance Front (NRF) are the two known groups engaged in armed clashes with the Taliban since the group’s return to power in August 2021.

On 16 April, the AFF confirmed the death of one of its most senior commanders, Akmal Ameer.

The Taliban has not commented.
