Afghanistan Freedom Front confirms the death of Akmal Ameer

Anti-Taliban group, Afghanistan Freedom Front (AFF), in statement on Sunday, has confirmed the death of one of its senior commanders, Akmal Ameer.

A former Afghan Special Forces commander, Akmal Ameer and five members of AFF were killed in clashes with the Taliban in southern Salang in Parwan province.

On April 10, the Taliban announced that its forces had killed 8 people, including two senior AFF commanders. But the anti-Taliban group refused to confirm the death of Akmal Ameer.

AFF has accused the Taliban of harassing and torturing families and relatives of its members, and of refusing to release their bodies. It has also said that it will continue fighting the Taliban.
