Sources in Parwan province confirmed to KabulNow that the Taliban forces have detained principal of a boys’ high school in Salang district of the province and transferred him to an unknown place.
A source identified the principal as Baba Gul who was detained and transferred to an unknown place by the Taliban on Thursday night.
The circumstances leading to his arrest was not immediately clear and the Taliban local authorities refrained from providing clarifications on the arrest to KabulNow’s reporter.
The Taliban has recently ramped up arrests of civilians, activists, advocates, former government officials and security forces. The group usually does not comment or provide information on the reasons behind such arbitrary arrests.
In another latest case, a former army soldier was arrested for a second time by the Taliban forces in the same district of Parwan last Friday.
