Taliban arrest 7 girls and boys for social mixing in Daikundi

The Taliban security and Vice and Virtue agents have arrested 7 teenage boys and girls from a house in the city of Nili, the capital of Daikundi province, on charges of mixing at a house party.

Arrested 11 days ago, a letter issued by the Taliban police officials and seen by KabulNow, accuses the men and women of “preparing to engage in prohibited acts,” at a house in Dasht village of Nili city.

The Taliban’s municipal court in Nili is yet to make a decision on the case, KabulNow been told.

Since their return to power in August 2021, the Taliban has enacted public floggings for various accusations, including adultery, theft and drug taking.
