Security forces reclaim Sorkh Parsa, operation is underway in Parwan

The security and defense forces have reclaimed Sorkh Parsa district of the northern Parwan province, the Ministry of Defense (MoD) said today, Sunday, July 18.

Fawad Aman, a spokesperson for the MoD, said on Facebook that security forces backed by People Uprising Forces successfully conducted a clearance operation pushing the Taliban insurgents out of the district.

The insurgents have suffered causalities and the government forces have seized a large number of ammunitions left over by the fugitive insurgents, according to Aman.

The Taliban has not commented on the incident so far.

The government forces have also cleared Sheikh Ali and Shinwari districts of Parwan province from the presence of the militants.

A clearance operation is underway in other parts of Parwan province, Aman said.
