Takhar mother drowns herself and her children in Farkhar River

A mother in the northern Takhar province drowned herself along with her three children in Farkhar River, a local official told the press.

Khalil Asir, the spokesperson for Takhar police, confirmed that the incident took place on Monday, May 03, in Lezhda village of Farkhar district of Takhar province.

The woman who was a mother of two daughters and a son first set her house ablaze and then drowned herself along with her children in Farkhar River.

The motive behind suicide remains anonymous and an investigation team from the capital Taloqan has been sent to the area to launch a probe into this tragic case.
